What is VDSS?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]VDSS stands for \u2018Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students\u2019. VDSS is a hands-on program for secondary school students, designed to give them a head start in life by participating in a nationally recognised qualification while still attending school.<\/p>\n

VDSS programs are run over two years, part time, requiring a one day a week commitment over the two school years and in some cases, supported by Work Placement or Structured Workplace Learning.<\/p>\n

VDSS contributes to the overall Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), VCE Vocation Major (VM), Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) requirements.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=”2″ mobile_visibility=”yes”][vc_custom_heading text_color=”color-prif” text_font=”font-105239″ text_size=”h5″ text_weight=”300″ text_height=””]<\/p>\n

The benefits of enrolling in a VDSS program<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  • Develop valuable hands-on skills and experience for work<\/li>\n

  • Gain valuable skills and knowledge to assist with employment whist studying.<\/li>\n
  • Gain credits towards further education via pathway opportunities post secondary school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    [\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]Students must be at least 15 years of age and enrolled in Year 10, 11 or 12.<\/p>\n

    If a student is studying VCE and wants to complete a VET course, the student should discuss this with their school VET Coordinator or Careers Advisor.[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text_color=”color-prif” text_font=”font-105239″ text_size=”h5″ text_weight=”300″ text_height=””]<\/p>\n

    Fees<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    [\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]AIO Training do not charge any fees to students to undertake VDSS with us.
